ePACT2.
The NHSBSA's own prescribing analytics tool. NHS organisations get it; companies do not.
ePACT2 is the analytics system the NHSBSA provides over prescribing data, with practice-level detail and standard reports. Access is restricted to NHS and related organisations: ICBs, practices, the Department of Health and Social Care and similar bodies.
If you work in industry, you cannot get an ePACT2 login, and nothing about that is changing. What you get instead is the open data the same organisation publishes, which carries most of the same numbers. The gap is the tooling, and that gap is the one DoseTrend and others exist to fill.
English Prescribing Data (EPD) · The monthly NHSBSA dataset behind almost every NHS prescribing chart: every item dispensed in the community in England, by practice and presentation.
Integrated Care Board (ICB) · The NHS bodies that plan and pay for services, medicines included, for their area of England.
